Learning to teach

My comps are the greatest! I actually love being in a trio wehelp each other so much. Still getting the hang of teaching though. Lesson from this week: listen to the spirit! We really didn't do very well with our last lesson and I know we could've done so much better. We had this lesson planned about the spirit and what it is and how we feel it (kinda ironic) but it wsant going very well because we couldn't understand anything. Then woffinden shimai turns tome and says I feel like we should talk about family. But we didn't, because we didn't know how to say anything about families. After we get out of the lesson we got to look at the area book and apparently she has three kids and really values family, I'm sure she must've told us that but we didn't understand. Whether she had tried to directly tell us that or not, the Spirit did, but we were too intimidated. That was super frustrating for me because we felt like we had learned so much since our last investigator and then nothing came of it. Evans Shimai and I were pretty discouraged after that so when we got home from class we had companionship prayer, woffinden shimai said it and it was super sweet. I started to feel the spirit agin which was relieving but my initial thought was "why am I feeling this way I don't deserve to feel this way." So ridiculous! such an awful way to think. That just helped me to realize that Satan will always try to discredit spiritual experiences and the Atonement, but we deserve them when we're trying because we are children of God and Christis our Saviour. What an insult to the Atonement to think that way. Sure we don't deserve to feel that way, but Christ suffered so that we don't have to. He understands me, i don't have to explain myself to Him but i can just ask to feel better and he can help me. I'm so grateful for the Atonement and for the ability it gives me to feel the Holy Ghost more consistently. Moses 1 is still my favourite. It can definitely be applied to like everything including that. It's the best. Also we were challenged to read enos 1 every day for the next 30 days staring last night. Enos had so much trust in the Lord it's awesome! That's a massive contributor to faith!

Woffinden Shiami loves milk, is from provo, lovesfruit gushers, her journal is beautiful and she makes her notes look like a work of art, and is super good at recognizing the Spirit. she's going to the fukuoka mission

Evans Shimai reminds me of Janae so much! She is hilarious! She loves memes hahah and makes us cry laughing at least once a day. She is super friendly. It was he mom who sent you that photo. she's going to my mission.
