Thanksgiving in the MTC
Basketball's sick! hHahah We've been getting our zone into speed lately hahaha I can't throw the ball far enough to make a 3 point shot but daijobu (it's good). And then it gets so intense that it's hilaeious and I start laughing so much that I feel week and then it's just kind of hopeless. But I have still won a couple of games so don't worry, making the family name proud. we had like 12 peole playing yesterday haha it was so fun! My first week i had multiple peole tell me my name was like Karl w an E.... ?????? Never have i had anyone remember Kearl like that before haha but it's hilarious. This one choro always cheers for me like this "Go Karl with an E Shimai" so that's great. Lol nice wok w vooddoo . The krispy kremes were great. There's this one choro in my district who's super quiet but he was super stoked to eat the one chocolate doughnut w chocolate icing. He practically dibsed it which was pretty funny. Loudest I've ever heard him.
THIS WEEK WE STARTED GOING OFF SCRIPT! Hahha we've kinda been "on a script" for our lesson cause it's hard to form sentences off hte top of our heads. Now we're trying to rely on the gift of tongues more and the spirit and the kyudosha to guide our lessons. We've studied hard and prayed for help, and when we did those 3 things it worked out really well. Our first lesson off script was AMAZING!! Literally our best lesson we've ever been in! I felt the Spirit so strong, like maybe the strongest I've ever felt it at the mtc while I was testifying in Japanese the spirit was there testify w me. I can't even explain but it felt like i had just discovered magic. It was just amazing. So grateul.
the 2 off script lesson didn't go as well, but i also think I could've been prepared which would've helped me be more confident in order to rely on the Lord for all the rest. the 2 kyudosha is also just harder in general so it was hard for me to choose faith over anxiety hahah. But I'm still working on it!!
I'm telling you though, the gift of tongues is a miracle, and miracles come after the trial of our faith. No matter what that trial might be.

American thanksgiving was good. ELDER AND SISTER BEDNAR ARE AMAZING! best 4 thursday of november I've ever had. The Christmas lights are now up.
A short update, but a great time. love my district so much they're the best. We're all just here to help each other out and learn and it's awesome. Already getting pumped to go to the mother land Nihon (Japan). (Definitely not actually my motherland but love it.)
Oh ya! And we taught district meeting and releif society on sunday, and I said clsoing prayer in sacrament meeting in nihongo. good ol' nihongo I love it even though it kilss me a bit. I love humans. We ushered at the devotional yesterday. good times. primary president and her hubby spoke. it was honestly the best devotional yet (besides Bednar choro). I was actually not very tired some how so I was able to pay more attention.
ALSO!!! Bowie Choro grew up in New Zealand and lived 20 MINUTES AWAY FROM THE SHIRE! Veyr important, can't believe i almost forgot to include that. so sigmnificant. Also if you're wodering who bowie choro is just think of Mushu from mulan. he is the human embodiment of Mushu.
Lots of random things in this email, hahan sorry, trying to hurry. Classic missionary am I right?
