So many miracles

This week we saw a lot of miracles oh my goodness!

Zeni and Andre are still working towards their baptism on the 16th of December. Zeni is no longer a guest at church now, but 100% part of the family. She dishes up and prepares for the shoukujikais, translates for people, and fellowships our new investigators that have started coming. Not only that, but this week she beat us and commited herself to do something before we got the chance to. For our appointment on Saturday one of our commitments at the end of the lesson was going to be to invite her friend Dina to our next lesson together, but when we got to the appointment she said "just a minute I'm going to call and invite Dina to come!" 素晴らしいですね!

We had decided to help them start preparing for their temple sealing by teaching them about temples and families at that lesson. Andre was super glad to learn about temples. The first thing he said was "it's just like Moses." I kind of taught him individually because the Filipinas had started going off in Tagalog haha so I showed him Mormon 9:9 "For do we not read that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and in him there is no variableness neither shadow of changing?" He readily accepted that God would of course give us temples again on the earth to let more of His goodness into our hearts as we make sacred covenants with Him.

Maureen Arakaki 姉妹 now has a baptismal date! December 23! She is going to ask her husband to let her get baptized for her birthday! We pray for her and I know her prayers will be answered! She knows that faith is not a stagnant belief but that it is action, so I have no worries. I'm so excited for her!

On the way back from Tokyo on Friday multiple prayers were answered.

Sister Cielo shared with me earlier this transfer that she has had this goal or dream of finding a family. On the way home we see this mom with her 2 kids get on the train. Then we listened and the kids were definitely speaking Tagalog. So we split up. Sister Cielo went to teach them and I went to teach this other super sweet lady. When we get off the train Cielo Shimai tells me that the lady, Marlyn, would be coming to church on sunday! And so to church she came! After church we taught a lesson to a different investigator but when we finished we saw that Marlyn was talking to Sister Matic who is just an amazing person and missionary. We go over to them and Sister Matic tells us in tears what they had just been talking about. (In Tagalog, so I got the translation after.) Marlyn said she had prayed Friday morning that her and her family would finally be lead to and find the right church, and then there we were on the train with her that day. It's such a miracle that we were by that exit of that car on that train at that time. Marlyn also said that she feels that meeting us there was God's answer. Just this morning as we were planning and getting Marlyn's ride to church organized I  realized that the goalhas been accomplished! We found a family! And hearing of this hanashi after church confirmed to me that it is the family God had planned to be found.

I know that God works by small means to bring about His great and eternal purposes, and I  don't have to know the whole plan right away to play a part in it.

So Saturdays are crazy and the best! We have a lot of investigators in this part of our area that is killing of far away. So when we make the trip out, we make it worth it. We typically teach at least 2 lessons when we go out there.

1.The first picture is with Zeni and Andre after their lesson about temples. After the lesson we ate a big Filipino lunch together!

2.Then we went to our next lesson with Andre' s friend Damasia and got to feast on some Brazilian empanadas.
I am definitely going to both of these countries some day! I love Brazil!

3. The adorable empanadas she made. I got to take the cute baby one home. :)

Good photos from today's zone pday. You can thank an elder with a nice camera in my zone.

The last one is just for laughs because Japan hehe. One of a trillion drink vending machines but classic this one only has tea.
